Training Sessions

There are currently 4 sessions each week

lead by our team of volunteer coaches

Monday Session - 7:15pm

Meets at - Costa Coffee, Polegate

Coach - Gary Manley

Typically a longer run of between 7 and 10K, everyone is welcome as long as you can comfortably run 10k

Average pace is between 6-7 min/km (10-11 min / mile)

Tuesday Session - 5:30pm

Meets at either:

Costa Coffee, Polegate/Eastbourne Seafront/

Shinewater Park, Langney

(Depending on time of year and weather)

 Run Leader - Heather Long

Everyone welcome, provided you can run 5K comfortably, this is typically a slower pace inclusive session, no-one is too slow!

Wednesday Session - 6pm

Meets at - William Daley Park Gates

(Opposite Manor Way/Brightling Road Junction, Polegate)

Run Leader - Ian Weston

This will either be an interval session to sharpen speed which is suitable for all abilities, or a steady pace run of up to 10K

Thursday Session - 6pm

Meet at - Costa Coffee, Polegate

Coach - Caroline Gearing

An interval session that caters for all abilities.  A fun session that helps improve fitness by using a combination of shorter, faster runs mixed with slow recovery runs or walks. 

There are usually 2 options; one to challenge the more experienced or confident runners and one to support less experienced or less confident runners, runners coming back from injury or time away from running.  The aim of the session is to help all runners improve their fitness and stamina levels in a fun and enjoyable way. 

All sessions begin with a warm up run and finish with a cool down run and stretches, to try and reduce or prevent injuries.
